Increasingly, digitization has also arrived in the healthcare sector. In some areas, work is now digital and all patient data is processed in the hospital information system (HIS). So far, however, data is rarely used to improve processes, treatment outcomes and staffing. There is a lack of expertise in hospitals and willingness to innvoate on behalf of existing providers. Due to the large volume of data, monitoring is also impossible, and smart algorithms that let users see the right data are still rare. This leaves lots of potential untapped. In addition, there are some areas, such as large parts of the station work and patient behavior, where valid and processable data doesn't yet exist.
